A heavy weight handwoven fabric made from cotton with a beautiful texture. Hand dyed with natural dyes in combination with natural white cotton.
This fabric has a firm feel and has a course but tight weave and feels smooth but natural. Irregularities from the hand weaving which gives it a lot of character.
Very nice fabric for making cushions and bags. It is not difficult to work with but it is good to have a overlock (serger) machine as it can fray easily as it always the case with handwoven fabrics. Once locked and stitched it is strong.
This fabric is made by Thai craftspeople who make fabrics in their homes. We work directly with these weavers and pay them a fair price, which helps them to continue their craft and produce sustainable products without the use of any machines.
