Handwoven and hand dyed with natural dyes fabric. This a very heavy, canvas-like coarsely woven pure cotton fabric. The warp and weft threads of this fabric are double and thick, which gives this fabric a flat and dense feel and a unique look especially with the subtle color variations from the hand dyeing and weaving.
This fabric has a slightly rough feel but it will become soft over time after using and washing it.
This fabric is especially great for making cushions and bags. It is not difficult to work with but it is good to have a overlock (serger) machine as it can fray easily as it always the case with handwoven fabrics. Once locked and stitched it is strong.
The price of this product is per meter (1.1 yards). If you order more it will come as one continuous length.
