Checkered medium weight handwoven fabric made from cotton. Hand dyed with natural indigo dye. This fabric is made from hand spun cotton which has a unique texture and feel to it.
Indigo dyed fabric will wear similar to jeans. It will bleach from washing and wearing but stay beautiful.
This fabric has a smooth feel to it and will get softer after washing.
The weight of this fabric is 306 gr/sqm or 9 oz/sqy.
This fabric is great for making cushions, clothes or bags. It is not difficult to work with but it is good to have a overlock (serger) machine as it can fray easily as it always the case with handwoven fabrics. Once locked and stitched it is strong.
